Inez Cunningham Hughes

Inez Cunningham Hughes, M.Ed., Th.D. accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at Oasis of Life Church under the leadership of Pastors Ulysses and Joyce Spann.  She served as Special Project Coordinator and Assistant to the Pastors. Jacques and Inez relocated to North Little Rock, Arkansas to attended Full Council Christian Fellowship Bible College.  After graduating, she was licensed and Ordained by Bishop (Dr.) James and Pastor (Dr.) Cynthia Bolden of Evangelistic Ministries Church of Jacksonville, Arkansas.   At that time, Evangelistic Word Ministry of St. Louis was incorporated in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Returning to St. Louis, MO and to Oasis of Life Church she and her husband started the Oasis of Life School of Ministry a satellite of the Gary Whetstone Ministries of New Castle, Delaware.

Later with the leading of the Holy Spirit her husband was sent to assist the Pastor of New Psalmist COGIC in Cahokia, IL, which became the New Destiny Ministries Pastored by Bishop (Dr.) James Heard III.  Inez was the Church Administrator for five years, and the Co-Administrator of both New Psalmist COGIC College of Theology a satellite of Midwest College of Theology and New Destiny University of Theology.  While at New Psalmist COGIC tragically the church building was destroyed by an electrical fire.   She was given the charge to find a temporary facility in the Cahokia, IL. area.  Within 3 weeks, she turned a 4500-square foot machine shop into a beautiful temporary facility that severed the ministry for two years while the new church was being built.

Dr. Hughes was given the vision to start the Women Walking the Walk (WWW) “Empowering Women in Ministry.”  This is a ministry to reinforce women called to ministry by supporting, reviving and restoring/sustaining their zeal for Walking the Walk.
